  1. high latency isp not the issue...

ok ive been trying to get this fixed since launch.I have a 360 and played ghost just fine along with any other game. I always connect to my router via ethernet (Netgear WRN2000 v4). ive used speedtest.net to verify my speeds on the desktop (wireless connecting)
I get 35mbps down/4.5mbps up/40ms latency. on my xbone though (ethernet and with only the xbone connected) im getting my upload/download speed where it should be with 1-2% packet loss... but my latency is at 80ms and I can feel it bad on ghost.ive done everything
I can do.. direct modem, static ip,dmz, port forwarding, put it ouside the firewall, nothing drops my ping..the most I accomplished was lowering my download/upload and increasing packet loss. the only thing I havnt done is buy a new router based on the issue
persists even direct to modem connection....please assist im at a loss its put a huge damper on my ability to enjoy this console

    :)

This may or may not fix your issue but seeing as you have halo reach, Can you boot it up and check your latency? This if I'm correct should check with Xbox Live standard servers. "Timing out" due to high latency may be the problem or large packet loss which
can also be checked in Halo Reach as standard. If you have low speeds, High Latency or Packet Loss, This could be the problem and if it is then possibly getting your ISP to check over your cabling. I tend to switch ISP's every few years to make sure I am on
the best connection for what I need. My previous ISP started blocking ports so myself ended up with high latency, dropped chats and games and moderate NAT setting. Just speaking from personal experience and standard latency tests helped me find were network
    issues were arising.

Is the following stats good for online gaming?

Depends on a lot of things, sometimes its an issue with the ISP, sometimes its caused by a bad route that your internet is taking to the server it only takes 1 bad hop to screw with latency, and then sometimes your just too far away from the server your pinging.

Where are you located? Where was the server you tested? Any closer servers you can test is the ping any better? Can you try pinging an ip like googles and see what that latency is? If its high run a trace route to the ip and see if the problem is in your isp's network in which case call your isp or maybe its a problem outside of your isp's network in which case thats harder to fix unless you can find who the server belongs to and contact them.

80ms is pretty good seeing your latency to the servers are in Washington. To be honest I don't see a problem with that at all. Its probably better than most East coasters. (mine is always 93-96)

When you do speedtest on your desktop are you using the same server location as the Xbox?

I don't know if you actually have a problem.

  5. I havnt switched to a wa server on desktop no, but the main issue thats tipping me to connection is standing point blank ads not getting hits, and actually seeing every kill feed jump around, in a few matches ive actually had to be still for 15-20 seconds
to get char to stop bouncing around the match.

is this just a cod ghost issue then?

I don't have this issue playing CoD. It may well be your connection or router not handling QoS well? Do others use the broadband connection while you game? phones, streaming etc... In my household it seems the internet is constantly being used, so a
good router with QoS work well in those situations. Just a thought. As I said before I'd love to see 40ms latency. :d

Go ahead and try www.speedtest.com and www.pingtest.com and check it against the Washington Servers...it should match your Xbox One closely.

Another thought, are you on Comcast? If so ditch the wireless, and go wired per their own recommendation. Actually I would try wired and see if its just the signal strength all together :d Well at least you have some ideas to try! high latency isp not the issue... :D

  7. eh not sure what the deal is, ill be moving to a larger city soon which may help, might just go out get a gigabyte router anyways when I do.

but the only thing I have running on my network is my phone and xbox, even if I have phone off doesnt change. ive done this test with 3 360 my xbone laptop and phone and it never changes. but thank you for the input.

I did a speedtest on desktop took me a few tries but found condointinternet as a server in seatle sadly on it gave me an 80 ms ping but my down/upload were dramatically killed, but guess its totally plausible that my connection is fine and maybe im experiencing
a different issue either with cod or with getting connected to slower people (though with these "dedicated servers" its supposed to be I shouldnt notice if others are slow correct?( wasnt that the whole point of them was to stop slow people from affecting
    fast people in any way))
