    Hello I have recently upgraded my internet connected a lan cable even bought a new router. I bridged the router from my isp. My router when I test it is getting anywhere from 8 to 15 ms ping. But when I test my xbox I always get 51 to 52ms. Sometimes I
    get 33 but almost never. I have portforwarded and am using the best dns in my area. What is happening and why is my xbox running with so much more latancy than my phone or computer?

    you cant trust the ping you see on xbox from the network test menu as it is connecting to a server in redmond, mine always states 152ms but my general test i get 3ms.

    Slow Upload

    Hey there

    It sounds like you have tried everything that anyone good advise. When your playing online the upload doesnt matter its the download and latancy that maters. Upload only comes into it if your streaming too something like mixer or twitch you tube etc.

    The only other thing i could say would be that other devices are slowing the connection. If you only have your xbox connected just the upload get higher?

    Latency gone thru the roof!! Now I know why!!

    I've been playing Titanfall this morning with an in game ping of 31ms. I just did a network test on the Xbox One and it gave me a ping of 164ms. A check on speedtest.net gave me a ping of 3ms.

    If your games are unplayable because of ping then obviously there is an issue but I don't think it's the Xbox. My latancy hasn't changed since day one so that's a bit of an odd response from Microsoft. I would imagine it is a localized problem with your
    ISP.

    Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand that you are experiencing high packet loss and high latency issues while running network tests on your Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. I'm sorry to hear that you have tried several troubleshooting steps, but the issue still persists.

    • Kindly go to Xbox Console's Settings.
    • Select Network and Network Settings.
    • Look for NAT Type.
    • Please reply with a screenshot or picture of the Xbox Network.

    If there is an error message, we may need to perform troubleshooting, for it.

    Also, try connecting your Xbox console directly to your modem and run the network tests again to see if the issue persists.

    You may find the articles listed below useful.


    The packet loss % displayed in network tests may not always accurately reflect the actual gameplay experience, especially if you are not experiencing any problems while playing games online. It's possible that the network tests are indicating packet loss due to brief network oscillations or issues with the test servers themselves.
