    High Internet Speed, very slow update speed


    I have an Xbox One X with a wired connection. When I test my network speed and statistics, it says I’m getting around 600mbps down and 140mbps up. When I go to update a game, it says my speed is extremely slow, at times less than 1mbps.

    I’m not sure why it would say my speed is 600mbps yet download an update at 700kbps.

    I've tried hard Xbox, router, and modem resets but don’t really know what else to do.

    Xbox one slow download speeds

    Well, just to update on the situation. I disconnected my xbox from the internet, waited 5 minutes, reconnected, and I was suddenly getting speeds of around 50-60Mbps again, so the speeds where very high.

    It got me to 88% in no time, and then slowed right down again, so disconnected, reconnected and the download was finished within a minute.

    If that is their high speed access I hate to think what their slow speed are like.

    Internet wont connect to Xbox Live

    Tried unplugging it for a while and plugged it back in with no luck. checked speeds and got .86 for download and .43 for upload speeds so I think internet is just too slow. Hopefully switching to high speed soon

    I hate to brake it to you, but that is NOT high speed internet. Basic internet is about 3 MBPS and High Speed is usually 8-10 MBPS.

    Taking 6 hours to download a 5-8 gig game with that slow internet is perfectly normal and would explain the lag problems you use to have.

    Who told you that was High Speed? If you're paying for High Speed, then I would definitely call your ISP because you're paying for something you're NOT getting.
