    no sound watching dvd via hdmi cable

    Help my son got tv for xmas and we have hooked up via hdmi cable and when playing games both picture and sound are perfect

    However when trying to watch a dvd picture perfect but no sound , i have played a normal cd and the sound is great so any one any ideas

    hi, my XboxOne has suddenly stopped showing any video/games or any picture.. can hear sound and when say 'xbox' i can hear it respond throug kinect but no picture... can you help..can it be re set

    It's DRM protection on the DVD's part. If you're using a pass through device (such as an HDPVR), then you won't be able to play DVDs. If it's directly to your TV, then it could be your HDMI cable, or your TV.

    There are many things that might be causing this. And it depends on if your using a HDMI cord or a regular one that has a Red, White, and Yellow end.

    If you are using a HDMI, make sure that all connections are secure and not lose.

    If you are using the regular type of cord, make sure that the white (video) cord is secure.

    Sorry for not answering back, I have been away from my xbox for some time.

    Yes, you could describe it like that.

    Yes, the dvd playing through hdmi is fine. I have both sound and picture sent through hdmi. The problem is the sound not being sent on the S/PDIF output when I am playing a dvd.

    Is there a way to try and re-flash the xbox?

    Audio not working

    I honestly don't know that much about what's going on. The TV isn't on mute, and even when I have the volume up to the max, I still can't hear the audio from anything going on with the xbox. The picture works just fine, and it isn't a problem with the
    t.v. because my dvd player and all the t.v. channels have sound. One wierd thing is that while I can't hear the audio from the xbox, if I have my dvd player hooked up to the tv and playing on a separate input, I actually hear the audio from the movie when
