Hi, try changing how the audio comes out of your Xbox by going to settings, then system, then audio and you can change it from there

As the cable works ok with games etc I doubt it's that. Can you try something please. Pop a DVD into e drive that you know has options on the DVD menus to change the audio settings, try whatever options are available and see if the scratching noise stops
on a certain setting.

I still think its that DAC myself or even the amp. Are there any settings you can change on the DAC or amp at all.

Sorry to hear about the game audio issues. Try setting the audio output to Stereo for Optical audio and HDMI audio (which ever applies). To do so, follow these steps:

• On your Xbox One controller, press the Menu button and select Settings.
• From the Settings menu, select Display & Sound.
• From this menu, you can change the audio output setting's in the far right group.
  

Change the audio output to Stereo and let me know how it goes!

When the game have Language option in your Options Menu, you chage there the language, I for example, Live in Brazil But I Just like use the games with audio in English so I go in games with have audio in Portuguese and change in the option menu to English
