wifi issues

So recently my xbox one has not been able to connect to my wifi network. It has before in the past and one day up and stopped working. I've called xbox customer support and went through troubleshoot steps with them but so far they have not helped. The wifi network shows up but whenever i try to test the network connection i get an error message that says 'cannot get an IP address'. I tried a wired connection and that works but i am not able to keep it wired all the time. If anyone might have a solution please help!

I'd really like some help please. My Xbox one s keeps disconnecting from the internet which is extremely annoying in online games. All other devices work perfectly on our wifi, so it can't be that. Help me please!

Please try power cycling the modem/router by unplugging for 10 seconds to see if that helps. Be sure to restart the console after doing this.

You could also run a speed test at www.speedtest.net to see what your speed and ping results are.

I am guessing you have comcast? I found a forums post where they had the same issue and they all had comcast.

Thank you, but something I've tried was connecting my old wifi adapter from my old xbox and the wifi worked but then when disconnected wireless wouldn't work even though it's built into the xbox but I'll try

Hi,

My Xbox One keeps disconnecting from the wifi. When I go to connect again, my wifi doesn't show up. It doesn't seem to be a problem with my wifi as I am in a call the whole time. So the problem must lie in the xbox. When I can't connect; I turn it off and
on, which barely works. Then I turn it off and unplug all the cables and leave it for a while, this works most of the time however it doesn't take long before I disconnect again. Also sometimes it says that my wifi is wired, and I am definitely not using wired
internet.

This problem is very annoying as it always disconnects me in game, so it would be greatly appreciated for any help.

I recommend having an Xbox connection over a wired network connection. It is more reliable and faster. Wireless connection is not very reliable.
