Hi, I've turned on my x box this morning, controller new batteries all plugged in all connected to the console. The x box doesn't do anything when I use the controller and the Kinect wont start. Is it broken ? It's stuck at the home page.

On again off again

My X Box One S keeps turning itself on, usually a few times per day. I worry that it's going to shorten the life of my console as it's operating for who knows how many hours.

What's odd about it is I took the batteries out of the controller and remote and when I go to the input list on the TV to select the port the X Box is connected to when it turns itself on the TV isn't registering that it's getting a signal for that port,
it wont be highlighted as active. Simply pushing the power button doesn't do anything, you have to hold it for several seconds and trying to turn it off with the controller or remote doesn't work since when I turn the controller on it begins searching for
the console but never connects.

Usually it happens when I am asleep and then happens again when I am at work. Some days it doesn't do it at all.

Thoughts? Fixes?

My new console stays at the "turn on controller" screen

Hi!

I just bought a new Xbox 360 Slim with Kinect. I hooked it all up, turned it on and the console prompted me to turn on my controller. I did so, and I noticed the controller didn't come pre-synced with the console. I tried syncing them but it doesn't work. The
X-Box doesn't even turn on any of the lights on the LED-Display. It is working, since it sends a signal to the TV, but it won't even try to sync the controller. Perhaps it is in some "initial setup" phase but I can't do anything with this console until I get
the controller to sync! What should I do?

Hi, could you try a power cycle of the Xbox. With the Xbox powered on

1.Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.

2.Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console.

It was in the shell box this morning. And you know like me that CS will tell me to check if those are new batteries or if the controller is synchronized. The batteries are new, and I did all the steps for the synchro, so why bother ?

I have the same behavior with my new Xbox One S controller. However, the controller will not work at all with the plug and charge battery. Does your S controller at least power on with the battery?

Hi! Does your controller itself turn on at all? If not not, check the batteries and if it's connected to your console. Try to use a micro USB cable in order to plug it into on of the USB ports.

Against the rules to suggest repairs, but disconnects are often caused by loose fitting batteries.

Another possibility. I've had a few controllers (X Box 360.) that all it took was prying out the little battery connectors to "fit" the batteries better.

Why is it against the rules to suggest repairs?
