Hi, I was wondering if Xbox One S is "dual voltage"

Is the Xbox one S , dual voltage? as in can I buy one from the USA and use it in Europe, or New Zealand? I know the voltages are different, so if it's not dual voltage would I be able to buy a new powerbrick directly from Microsoft instead of a 3rd party
    one that could do damage?

    Thank you!

    :)

    Xbox One X Voltage Question

    Hi

The Xbox One S has a dual voltage internal power supply and I expect Xbox One X will be the same but I have not seen this confirmed anywhere

Hi, I was wondering if Xbox One S is "dual voltage"

Adding to this: i've found the Xbox One S is 110v-240v , does that mean it can be freely plugged into different sockets in different countries without a different powerbrick or transformer? Obviously it would just need the converter because of the different
    wall socket designs ..

    Hi

The Xbox One S internal power supply supports both 110 and 220V all you will need to do is change the cable to match the wall socket or use an adapter plug.

thank you gds1972 that's the answer I was looking for,

so just a basic converter will work, which is good!

You will not require any converter all you will need to do is plug the console directly into the power outlet with a suitable power cable.

  9. The Xbox One S uses a built-in power supply, so there is no external power brick.

All Xbox One S consoles are (internally) the same worldwide, and they will handle the voltages of all countries they are sold in.

The Xbox One S uses the standardized IEC-60320 "C7" appliance coupler to connect to power. Basically, this boils down to just finding a C7 cord with the appropriate mains connector for your country.

You can contact Microsoft (via chat or phone call) and request a power cord for your Xbox One S... they might just send you one. If that doesn't work, you can just order them elsewhere online; these appliance coupler cords are very commonplace, cheap, and
used by many other devices. You might be looking for these below (left: European, right: New Zealand) -- I just randomly found these images on Bing.

a converter as in the thing to change the pins of the socket, so a USA plug will fit into a Euro one
