Hi i own the Xbox series x and I'm being told I can't play Xbox x/s titles?

Xbox one x.doesn't.have the compression processor or the nvme needed for next gen gaming

All next gen gaming systems have.compression processor except for switch pro but all use nvme for faster storage

Xbox one x and any usb hdd is limited fo 600mbps plus you are sitting behind your bus masters which create bottle necks to get to the cpu

Nvme has direct access to cpu memory and the North bridge

At 2.4 gbps tp 4.8 gbps on series consoles

4.5-9gbps on ps5

Upto 2gbps depending on model for switch pro as it goes 1 2 , 4 pipelines on each model

I have the 64 gig upgraded to 2tb 1 pipwlinw model

Xbox ones and ps4 use amd jaguar cpu that are over 10 years old though xbox one x is.the latest ones

Next gen consoles use Zen 2 apus combos which just got released 2020

A Series X is not the same as One X. So which one do you actually own? A Series X is more powerful so some newer games will only work on the Series X and not both.

I doubt you'll get a direct answer from here, not from the Microsoft tech team anyway. But as I understand it, Series X will run all Xbox One games and all the games currently BC for Xbox One. This will include the Xbox One X enhanced titles.

The Series S will not be able to run enhanced titles. Instead it will run them as Xbox One base games, but, it will apply it's own enhancements instead.

Why can't Series S run Xbox One X enhanced games?

So, you would think that being that the series S is also a next gen system it should run Xbox One enhanced titles, but it can't. The reason is quite a simple one, RAM (Random Access Memory). The Xbox One X has 12 GB of RAM, which around 9 is usable for games.
The Series S only has around 8 GB.

Pushing high resolution textures and indeed 4K resolutions (or near 4K) requires lots or RAM. But to keep costs low, Series S has less RAM.

The series S won't run Xbox One games exactly how the original Xbox One runs them. It will still run them better. Which means better frame rates and better resolutions, but it can't run Xbox One games that have enhancements for the Xbox One X. They will
still work, but they won't be enhanced. I'm not sure about Xbox 360 enhanced titles.

If it is an xbox one s or x or og xbox one hw can't play it without his own subscription as starfield is only playable on xbox series consoles or pcs

External hard drives are not fast enough for Xbox Series X|S titles. Unfortunately you can't play these games off slow USB external hard drives. They need either be installed internally or to an optional Xbox Series X|S Expansion card.
