Hi! I got a chat restriction?

Hi! i recently started getting back into xbox and then I wanted to message my friend to play Fortnite with him here's what came up: "because of your past behaviour, you are not able to send messages" Hello?!??! I haven't even done anything bad and apparently
I got a suspension. I went to check my account feedback and I've only gotten one bad feedback (Unsporting) but then I don't even know what I got reported for. Bear in mind that I haven't been on xbox for 4 months (since December 2017) and i've got a chat suspension??

Sounds like it would technically work as long as the mic ring is in the section of the jack as it would be in for on a 3 ring 3.5mm adapter (and I'm pretty sure they are). The audio comes out of both the receiver and the headset. I'm not certain you'll
hear your OWN voice (why would you?)

Sadly, I have a pair of Sony MDR x10s that have inline mic and doesn't work yet with the adapter, but an old 2.5mm mono headset worked fine. I'm not a fan of the Sony headphones themselves so doing it your way may be a good option for me, too-- optical
through a DAC and separate mic...

Me too, I own a Beyerdynamic Hifi Headphone and have exact the same constellation und question

 

Were you trying to message them via the console or the mobile app? The app can sometimes be glitch if that is what you were using.

1. Where are you trying to send the message from? An Xbox One console, on another device via the Xbox App, or via Xbox.com ?

2. If you try sending that message a different way, do you still see the same error?

3. Is that happening no matter who you try to send a message to?

4. Have you already attempted any specific troubleshooting steps? If so, let us know what you've done already so we don't retrace anything.

 

hi, It doesnt matter who I text or even when im on xbox console, It gets the same error message. the same problem happens to whoever I text.

Can you try signing into this page with your account, then enter a phone number you have access to, and input the code the page texts you after that? Do you see any change when you try to message someone
after that?
