gamertags are used across services, so even if you can't add the gamertag on Xbox Live then it may still be in use.

So basically when the system says that the gamertag is in use, then it is not available.

The only thing you can do is to choose a different gamertag.

Hi Kyle, I've already tried different browsers on different devices to use the Repair Order function, and the point is the "Contact Us" page isnt helpful - the chatbot doesn't understand the problem, I've tried "call me back" and on the chat it said they couldn't process the request. You have my email address via my account, can someone email me to sort this out. I've wasted a bunch of time on something that should be super quick - I just need the delivery note.

There is a short waiting period before a gamertag is freed for other Xbox profiles. However, if you're getting a message saying that the gamertag isn't allowed, that means it can't be used for other reasons. In this case, you'll have to choose a different gamertag.

Yes I did. I even tried it on different devices. And every time I refresh the page, the gamertag suddenly is not available anymore and I have to wait half an hour for it to become available again
