So heres the deal; I have bought a game on 1 GT and 1 console. But now i have a new Xbox and a new GT. can i somehow transfer what ive bought to the xbox and GT that i currently use?

If you want to change back to your old Gamertag, you'll have to go through the >>change Gamertag<<
process again.

Since he bought a digital copy, the game is linked to your son's Microsoft Account profile and not to any particular Xbox. He can log in to the new Xbox with his existing account and download the game there. He should see it in My games & apps > See all
> Games > Full library

My son changed his gamertag about a month or so ago. His new GT was shown immediately on his dashboard etc, but still displayed his old GT in games. After several days, it resolved itself and showed his correct(new) GT.
