It didn't solve my problem 100% but it did help me find a solution that worked for me. Incredibly enough, I had to blow within the gaps around the left analog stick which maybe had dust blocking the sensors or something?

Using the circular test in the gamepad tester site, i noticed my left hand stick had a dead zone when reaching the upward parts of the rotation (would stay light green in those parts). After trying your technique, no dice, but then I just decided to blow through it with a duster and that solved it! The tester was registering full rotations and no drift when releasing.

I bought the original controller separately from the console. 27.12.2017 i bought it. I see an error "uxtx5Z49GEi0zppI.22" when I try to register it in Device Support. What do I need to do to fix it?

I recommend taking it to technical service as soon as possible.

If it's an elite controller, it is magnetic attachment and would snap right back in. If not, then it is probably broken. If it is still under warranty, get it replaced.

So am I to understand that it is loose, and the "analog stick" is not functioning because it is loose. I just need a clarification on your post. It will help us ambassadors understand the issue better to help you resolve it.
