Hi all, I just want to remove an account/ gamertag from an Xbox One console. My daughter has just upgraded to an XBox One X and I've added her details on that one. Want to do this to ensure her details aren't on the old one prior to sale, without affecting
the new One X. All help welcomed, thank you.

Thank you, that's great. And this won't affect the other console at all and her account/ gamertag remains intact? I have a tendency to get things wrong where tech is concerned, that's all!

 

Account information is stored on the Xbox servers. So removing it from a console won't affect anything.

 

No, it will just remove the account and if there are any other account on there, they will remain. If the account is a main, it will automatically change.
