Hi all ,I bought xbox gold using my pc last night and it wont show up or play on my sons console I haven't done it before so dont know what to expect . I have tried the reboot as suggested but still nothing shows up on the console. If anyone has any ideas
it would put a smile on my sons face . tried getting in touch with support but no luck . Thanks

Hey there, noelgrimes

Removing the profile will just remove the account from the console. You will then be able to download the account back onto your console. It will only download a fresh copy of your account, and this should then have the Gold Membership on it as well.

To remove an account, please go to: Settings > Account > Add/Remove Account > Your Gamertag

Then restart your Xbox console. Then sign back into your Account by Guide > Sign in > Add New Account > Enter your Microsoft Account credentials.

Thank you as you probably have guessed I am a complete novice at this ,if I remove a profile and put it back on will we lose our progress in the games we have played so far ?

Thank you , we only have my account on the box and it was purchased through that one .

Another thing you may want to do is make sure you were signed into your sons account when you made the purchase on your PC.

You can check to see if you may have made it on your account by signing into account.microsoft.com/services and it will show you an MS subscriptions that that account has signed up for.
