HEY, MY 360, original, help? if any knows ideals plz and ty

Hey.my problem has been, likee...while the hard drive is out, the controller connects an it loads to main screen an is fine but cant do much with that,but with the hard drive in it, there are no red rings, it just starts to load the new first
main screen logo, an it makes a funny noise an than like stops makin that noise but it freezes, most of the time before the logo even is fully loaded and also when the hard drive is in an it dont make it past the logo screen the controller wont connect/read,
will just blink,any ideals anyone please would be appreciated. is weird to me, TAkecare all hope is not to serious

Original xbox game to my Xbox 360

I am about to purchase one of these original xbox games from Ebay : Ty the tasmanian tiger , Ty the tasmanian tiger 2: Bush rescue and Ty the tasmanian tiger 3 and I was wondering if i bought these games online would it be compatible with my australian
purchased Xbox 360 slim 250gb with the latest update. I checked the list of original xbox games which work on the xbox 360 but it was last updated in 2007 so I was wondering if it still works and if I could buy either one of these games from the Xbox LIVE
marketplace or online here and if I do buy it from ebay will it work with my Xbox from Australia even though the product could be from america or England. Thanks if someone does reply.

so if I understand correctly the console will not fully boot to the dashboard when the hard drive is connected. Correct?

If so then it could be a problem with the hard drive or the console. To determine what is the cause it may be best to try your hard drive on a different xbox 360 console (be sure that the type matches) to see what happens.

If the different console does the same thing then the hard drive most likely needs replacement.

If the different console works normal, then you might want to try a different hard drive on your console to see what happens etc.

Let us know the results

1. Ty for trying to help me.

2. I don't understand what is a ''Power Cycle'', I clicked on the link but it only says ''Group Not Found

The requested Group cannot be found.''.

3. I've tried to remove and add back my account but it don't change anything. More, I can't join or crate groups with all the account that are on my xbox (4).

An another time ty for your suggestion and if you or an another people have an other idea that could help me plz let me know.
