Hey I am having an issue with my Xbox controller on pc

I have an issue where my controller after a unknown amount of time the light goes off and when I hit the xbox button it flashes like it has batteries installed it does not. I have tried another forums info of uninstalling the device and unplugging it and restarting pc and updating drivers to proper version retarting my pc has worked every time however it continues to happen want to know how I can fix it

Please try to use another USB cable and see if that will fix the issue. You may also try to connect the controller to another PC or laptop and see if that worka.

I am having the same issue since yesterday May 31. 2017 before that my xbox one controller was connecting to my PC's bluetooth with no issue.

I just want to clarify when you mentioned after an update, did you mean you have updated your Windows software or your Xbox series X controller firmware?

For us to further isolate the issue, try to use the said Xbox controller on a different PC or console device to see if it works.

Also, try to use a different Xbox controller on your PC to see if it works normally.

i updated both my Windows update and Xbox series X controller firmware form xbox accessories, i also test the controller from my phone by bluetooth using the battery and its still have the same issue. i dont have the other xbox controller so i cant test that.

Hey, ive reinstalled the xbox controller driver, but that didnt do anything. I tried to reinstall the plug and play device enumerator driver, but the uninstall option is greyed out. That said, i dont think its a pc driver issue, as i tested the controller on my xbox and i have the same issue on that too.

Recently updates on the Xbox controller firmware, made the controller exhibit those issues on PC when connected via Bluetooth, some users are reporting this issue on the insiders hub app on PC, because it's been happening to a lot of gamers as well. We would have to keep checking the accessories' app for updates. :/
