Hey forum have a generalized question.

I have a older I believe it is the S model xbox 360. the newest model as does my son. His he just got not that long ago. Anyways this is my question.... Why is it the older (S???) models did not come with any independent storage space. Independent as is
no storage without a hard drive or flash drive period, such as mine doesn't. But the newer (S???) models comes with 3g's storage space built in to the unit. Which is very handy seeings how with that you can at least set up a cloud save account. I don't see
how this is right or fair to the owner's of the older built (S????) models. We paid just as much (if not more) for ours but if something happens to our hard drives (as it did to mine) and we don't have the money to pay for a new hard drive we are *** into
getting example 16g's flash drives which btw only hold if your lucky 2 decent games. Were as the ppl with the newer (S???) models, again if something happens to the hard drive they can still play and save there favorite games on the cloud save system. Is there
something that Xbox is willing to do for us older (S???) model owners to get us the ability to at least use this save system like the others. Ow and btw yes I tried with mine to use that system but it says I need at least like 256m of storage space to be able
to use it and you can't use flash drives to gain access to the cloud. I thank all of you a advance for your quickly timed responses and pray for a speedy solution to this problem

Network issues every other day

Hey there, I'm not entirely sure which model you have. I'm pretty sure all the S versions came with at least a 4 GB hard drive if not higher. I could be wrong on that though. Anyways, to answer your question, there probably isn't really anything they will
do about it.

 

You are correct B4. All S model consoles come with the 4 GB internal storage. Only the older FAT consoles did not.

 

I am telling you I have the thin S model and it does NOT have ANY independent storage what so ever. And I did check it is the S model. And I did read up on it, and from what it said you both are right ALL S models are suppose to come with the independent
storage, and now I am wondering why mine doesnt have any. Is there anything I can do about it?

 

At this point there really isn't anything you could do about it really. If you bought it brand new and it didn't come with the storage like it was supposed to, you could have taken it back and exchanged it.

The 250gb models did not have the 4gb internal flash memory included. So if it was purchased use, the original owner may have kept the hard drive. Or if it was purchased new, maybe someone else had bought it, taken the hard drive, and then returned it.
