    Here comes another one of the classic connectivity questions:


    Hi, I have an xbox one X and an BT wifi essential extender 300 (or something like that, the one with the two points bits sticking out the top) and for some reason, despite working perfectly fine with my phone and laptop, my xbox fails to recognise the wifi extender, or at least if it does only for the extremely long period of 10 minutes...

    I am useless with all tech so have been looking for videos and websites to help me but haven't found anything as of yet. IPv4 is but I seem to have that fine, NAT type is either unavailable when it disconnects or moderate, and uPnP is always unsuccessful. My xbox also says to read using iPv6 which often disappears so may be the problem here at their website but that was of course no help at all. I have no idea what the terms above mean, and I also don't know what DSCP or the port is, so you may have to use language so basic a caveman could understand what to do in order to help me understand, apologies for that inconvenience.

    So far I've tried multiple resets, about 1 million reconnection attempts, pressing automatic on the port and IP settings tab, have attempted to clear 'cache' and have also pressed 'clear' on the alternative MAC address tab. None have worked. I'd appreciate any help whatsoever as all I wanna do is just relax and play games, but ironically the xbox itself is causing more stress than the reason for me wanting to games on it.

    Do you mean the classic xbox one (2013) if so yes they do make sure sure every xbox one is able to run it wherever it runs nicely and quietly is another question. That is the question i think you are asking.
