Her Story (PC Game, Game Pass) doesn't play videos

I just installed Her Story from Game Pass. The videos don't play. I can hear the audio, and there's a video progress bar and 'X' to close them.

How can I fix this? I found some forums mentioning issues with Codecs but the suggestions involved installing potential spam I don't want on my machine.

I'm running Windows 10.

If you have missing codecs you can install them from the Microsoft store app, for example you can Install the VLC media player, that would install most of the available codecs

EA Play for PC is now included with Game Pass Ultimate & Game Pass for PC, so yes, you can play the game on PC only if you have Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass for PC.

My grandma passed away last year due to complications related to Alzheimer's and dementia. I wish I would have had her play video games to keep her mind active for longer.

The Catwoman DLC pack adds her story to the main Arkham City story, so you at times you will play as her for her story both during the game and after the main story ends.

You will be able to use her in challenges as well, definitely worth it to get the full Arkham City experience
