Helpful Customer Support Department ????

i wa sflat out refused a refund for a game that i tried to get a reefund within minutes of trialling the game , online chat support told me they cannot help and i have to apply vi athe refund form , which i did. Online chat support NEVER mentioned anything
about play time , or achievements affecting the possibility of a refund , which is kind of crusial information one needs when approaching something like this.

my request was flat out refused , yet i applied immediately , the same day as the purchase , the game had been played for less than 1 hour , but it was refused ...

i contacted telephone support to ask why, they told me it was because i had gotten an achievement for the title .. i actually got 3 or 4 for the first race ... and telephone support told me i should re apply and they would put a note on the account ...

AGAIN , it was flat out refused with the same generic cut and paste response .... so i requested a ring back again , and was told to reply to the email which seems to have gone no where ...

so i am still within the 14 day period for getting my game refunded and yet MS is refusing ?

When you go to Contact Us, follow these steps to request a call
from support:



· Step 1 ----select Xbox One

· Step 2 ----select see other options then choose category regarding your issue

· Step 3-----select show contact options

Step 4 ----select request call from support

Or chat. They will answer.

I never had a problem with any of my purchases. With the Project Scarlett, Microsoft will cover 4 generations of gaming and game you own. There is no other example in business like that. Do the rewards
and you will have enough points to reclaim a few games per year. Nobody else does that.

xbox 1 when launched was launched as a GAMES CONSOLE ... not a media console , it is not in the media section of argos or amazon , it is in the GAMES section , everyone else is able to distinguish between GAMES and MEDIA , just not Microsoft ?

I take it that you had a refund request to a product denied?

To be eligible for a refund certain requirements will need to be met.

1. Have purchased the product in the last 14 days.

2. Have not played/use it for more than 2 hours.

Do note that certain products, like DLC etc is not able to be refunded and therefoe it will be noted on the product page on the website.

As for the "media console"

Xbox is classified as an entertainment console/media which will be able to be used for gaming, movies/films etc.

trying ring back again to see if ican get through to a manager or someone that can explain why i am not entitled to the refund on the product i purchased only 5 days ago that has less than 2 hours of play time on it ...
