Help!

hello everyone

i cannot afford a next gen console but i can afford an xbox 360 but their are a few things i wanted to find out:

1. Should i get an xbox 360? i mean, its a great console and all but, i think it'll might be too late to get one

2.Can i play online for free example:cod. i thought maybe since xbox one is released i thought xbox live could be free for xbox 360.

Btw, i dont know much about the xbox 360, so plz give me information about it, it'll be highly appreciated.

Hi, As the Xbox 360 is nearing the end of its lifespan i would recommend an Xbox one over an Xbox 360, even if it meant saving for a few more months.

The you need Xbox Live Gold to play online multiplayer on both consoles. Xbox Live gold is a subscription that Retails at $90AUD per year, but can be bought in smaller amounts like 1 and 3 months.

You could buy a Xbox 360 if you wanted to. Lots of cheap fantastic games for it and a massive library to choose from.

You can play online by yourself as a silver member but you will need Xbox Live Gold in order to play online multiplayer.

If you shop around online you can find gold membership for cheap. A 12 month membership can be usually found in the $50-$55 dollar range and if your lucky can be found for $40. Check out places like EBay.

With Games with Gold you get two free digital games a month and they yours to keep. You will need a Gold membership in order to do this and the two games are selected at random.

 

You need to decide wether you are happy playing older games on the 360 or if you will want to play new games only available on the xbox one.

Personally now that the xbox one has backwards compatibility you would be silly to buy a 360, it is obsolete. There are only about 3 games that I know of from this years E3 being developed for the 360.

My advice is keep saving until you hae the money for a one unless you are happy playing older games on the 360. You will still need a subscription to play online on the 360, MS have said they are committed to the 360 service until 2016 after that who knows
what will happen with it.

From a budget point of view you can get a 360 (new or 2nd hand) quite cheap. Plus there is a catalogue of about 1700 games which are quite cheap at the moment. It would give you a full taste of gaming to decide whether you want to fully commit to a higher
price new-gen console.

For Gold which you'll need to play online shop around for a code as prices vary.

The Xbox 360 is one of the best consoles ever made. Great game catalogue, easy to use functions, fantastic controller etc. I made the mistake of thinking that everything would be better one the Xbox one but it's like they've taken all the good parts of the
360, and thrown them out the window. Now we're stuck with a console that is one the the worst ever made (and that's saying a lot). Even though the 360 is nearing the end of it's life, it's still a great console to pick up or you could just buy a PS4.
