It's a WD My Book 4 TB USB 3.0 Hard Drive with Backup. Yes a have a media player app installed on my Xbox. No i have not formatted to my computer.

There are various ways to get your question and or issues answered. If it has to do with Xbox Games or Services you can contact Xbox Support. I'm sure they are more than willing to help
and be sure to provide as much information as possible so they can help you efficiently.

Similarly for many games you can contact support for that specific game via their site or developers. You can also utilize the specific forums for any games you play. For example, Halo has Halo Waypoint. A site which provides a one stop place for all info
regarding Halo including player forums. You can visit these forums and see if similar players have asked a question you had and get an answer there, or post your own unique problem.
