    You need gold membership to play online multiplayer games in xbox live

    What is the exact error message? It sounds like it could either be

    A: you don't have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, which you need to play games online

    B: your account has parental controls restricting either online play or GTAV entirely.

    If you could post more a more in-depth description of the message, we can figure out why exactly you're having this problem.

    Have you tried deleting your profile and then re-adding your profile to the console.

    We need the exact error message and confirmation you have Live and no parental controls. If it says it can't find a compatible session this could be a NAT setting error with your internet router.

    You need to have Xbox Live Gold or this problem is related to permission of your parents If your account is a child account

    To play online You must have Live Gold, and If You are a child so your parents have to allow You to play It online

    yeah i have and it works for about 30 seconds then it comes up with disc unreadable, it also still skips from 80% to 100%

    you can try to recover your gamertag. if you have a possibility try to download the game into a different storage drive (usb disc for example).
