HELP! Xbox one to vga monitor with no audio jack

So I bought the xbox one off a friend that doesnt really use it. I played my 360 on my monitor as its on my computer desk this monitor is also used as a 2nd monitor for desktop pc via a vga switcher. I prefer playin at my desk vs on my tv I have a 50" plasma
so it makes it difficult to play competitively. So the issues im faced with are getting a decent hdmi to vga converter which can be solved quite easily however while I have been reading up today I noticed people are saying that the audio is an issue when
converting hdmi to vga this can be solved by using an optical audio cable to an audio converter. Another issue im facing is I would like to use my wireless creative sound blaster tactic 3d rage headset which I have for the pc apparently from reading it is
compatible with xbox one im just not sure how with it being usb just plug and play.

So which hdmi to vga adaptors do people recommend?

Which audio converters do people recommend?

Has anyone come across the issue of trying to use a usb wireless headset with the xbox one?

Is it worth buying converters or just buyin a monitor/tv with hdmi input?

If I was to buy the converters etc but not use the usb headset would TBx11s be compatible?

Any other ideas or suggestions people have im all ears I just want a good setup to play at my desk and get back into cod properly on xbox one

Use Xbox 360S with DVI monitor

I have an LCD monitor that only has VGA and DVI inputs, and audio input. Is there a way to play my Xbox at 1080p on the monitor with audio? The monitor itself does have audio input via 3.5mm jack.

How to get audio after connecting the vga cable to pc monitor?Please Help

Hello everyone i recently saw other forms about how to get audio after connecting the VGA cable to my pc monitor.I recently brought a vga to xbox 360 cable it has a vga cable and 3 av cables Red,Yellow,White and a cable to connect these wires to xbox 360
now i have connected the vga cable to my monitor and xbox 360 but when i play any game there is no sound some other forms said that i will have to buy a 3.5 audio jack to connect the red and and white av cables to it and the other part to speakers to get
the sound so my question is if get the 3.5 audio jack and connect the two av cables to one side and speakers to the other side will i hear the sound and my pc monitor only has a vga slot

Just breabling

It depends on Converters. Digital to Analog is always a Little bit harder than other way..

I bought one time a Converter (Optical to Chinch) for 60 bugs. the same Thing caan cost up to 200-300 bugs.. so there is the question of Quality.

Mine has some choppy times, I don^t use it often. I^ve now setted it in if I want to listen a CD via xbox to my Stereo System, honestly I am not happy with it.. It was cheap solution and now I thinking n getting an AVR (just for Movie and Music)..

If you calculate this 2 Converters + Cables and the Problems and Cable-Salad, I may think it is worth buy a new Monitor. (BenQ is soon releasing a 60Hz 1080p Dual-HDMI I think perf for NextGen)

I don^t know about the Headset, I use the Microsoft Stereo-Headset with the Adapter..

You can't get sound through a VGA cable, that's definitely right. I'm not sure which 3.5mm audio jack you're talking about, but if you can connect the red and white cables from the AV cable to a 3.5mm audio jack and connect that to an audio INPUT on your
monitor, that should work for sound. You would of course need to make sure that it's an audio input on your monitor (not a headphone out jack) and that you have either speakers in your monitor or headphones to use.

Personally i wouldn't ask Radioshack.

Use the Xbox 360 VGA High-Definition AV cable to connect the gaming console to a PC monitor. The Xbox 360 VGA cable connects to the PC monitor's VGA port to render HD graphics. The cable is also equipped with standard red and white audio plugs for stereo
connection. Purchase the eight-foot shielded VGA cable directly from Xbox.com. As of February 2011, the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV cable retains for $39.99.

Step 1

Turn off the Xbox 360 and remove the power cord from the back panel of the console.

Step 2

Turn off the monitor and remove its power cord.

Step 3

Plug the VGA end of the connector cable into the VGA port of the monitor.

Step 4

Insert the other end of the cable into the AV port on the back panel of the Xbox 360.

Step 5

Plug the cable's red and white audio connectors into the red and white audio jacks of your stereo equipment.

Step 6

Reconnect the Xbox power cord. Connect the monitor's power cable.

Step 7

Power on the Xbox 360 and the monitor. The Xbox Dashboard will load to the monitor display.

Obsessive Power

I'm not well versed on TOSLINK cables I'm afraid. The Xbox VGA cable comes with a left and right RCA audio connectors (also called Phono leads). To get audio with the VGA lead, you will also need a jack,

like this one. The RCA leads go into the jack and the jack goes into the stereo input on your HDTV. The official Xbox VGA cable comes with the adapter if purchased new. If not, you should be able to get one online or from any store and sells audio cables
and accessories.
