Help - Xbox one keeps restarting itself

It happened twice last night. I was using the media player to watch Breaking Bad from a usb. Around the tail end of each episode it just restarted. I turned the controller off in order to conserve battery. Hasn't occurred during active gameplay. Does anyone
know what's going on?

Hello, I have a question. When ever I log in to a account it does what you have stated and I have also had this problem since I have tried to download a game. I don't know how to remove my hard drive and I do not want to lose all my progress and level on
my game. Does that happen when I take out the Hard Drive do I lose my level and progress in the game?

 

Sorry to hear it. Is your console plugged into a power bar? If so try plugging it into a wall socket.

same thing happened to me except my console got real bad. eventually it would stay on for about 20 seconds before restarting and since then it's been a constant cycle. any tips that I got online didn't work so I just ended up having to send it back to Microsoft.
So at the moment im playing no games just the waiting game.

 

Ours is doing this as well, funny how I just found a thread about this from a year ago and it's still seems to be an issue... Way to be on top of things Microsoft...

 

Oh and ours also randomly turns itself on as well. Turned off with the controller and was just sitting on the couch and the Xbox just turns on, no noises going on and the remote is still off. Creepy.
