    HELP! Xbox One keeps failing to update.


    Tried power cycling, soft and hard resets multiple times. Tried offline usb update, still fails.

    The update always fails every time it reaches about 70% Verifiying, then it says “something went wrong”. It gives the error code:

    0x8B05000F 0x00000000 0x90130007

    Xbox Fails To Update and Install games.

    To keep this thread updated, any game install/download has failed. There was at one moment I tried updating the Store App and that too failed.

    Not sure what is going on, but I will certainty contact support before requesting a repair ticket.

    I will update this thread whether or not support is able to help me.

    Once I get home from work of course.

    Sorry to hear you are having issues. Although your update is not freezing at 70%-ish, Microsoft Support from Live chats have recommended restoring the console back to the factory defaults and trying the update again. Please follow these steps for restoring
    back to factory defaults:



    ***WARNING***: Restoring your console to the factory default settings erases all accounts, apps, games, saved games, and settings. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. Your console
    syncs with Xbox Live automatically when it is connected with the service.



    1) Press the Xbox button on your controller and select Settings. Or, say “Xbox, go to Settings.”

    2) Select System.

    3) Select Restore factory defaults.

    4) Read the warning message and select Yes.

    5) Your Xbox One console will now begin the process of erasing all content and resetting itself to the default settings.
