Help with Xbox live gold disappearing

please help as I’m going loopy with my sons xbox fiasco!

In April I purchased a £39.99 12 month live gold subscription online via a redeemable code. He redeemed it and it was fine.

Today I noticed that a monthly £5.99 fee was coming out of my account.

I called to ask why this was and was told:

I did not have 12 month Xbox live subscription!

I have the fee statement from my bank.

My parent Microsoft account tells me he redeemed the gift card on my order history.

The code redeem is not showing up on his account order history.

One question, if he logs into his xbox on a different email/gamer tag as the one he redeemed the gift code with..would this be a reason for it disappearing???

Hope the above makes sense to someone!

Why the heck to Microsoft of all people make it so damned hard?!!

Xbox live gold disappearing

When you are signed in here in this forum with your IcedAPPLE907 Account, can you click on your account picture in the upper right, and click on "Subscriptions"?

Gold memberships are not tied to your console, but only on your account.

That way you can go to any console in the world (e.g. to visit your friend), and sign in on that console, and you'll have your Gold membership with you.

So the console failing can not affect your Gold membership.

well I restarted (reboot) my Xbox cause the Bluetooth **** itself it worked than I put my account on NO GOLD!! because I didn’t run out cause I was playing that same morning than 1 hour later I restated it so I was confused and even look at my screenshots
and **** because Xbox ur annoying hopefully u guys give it back

Since the 12 month subscription was redeemed on the parent account and not his account, it would be tied to that parent account. He would be able to use that subscription if the parent account has the console set as its Home console, but it will not actually
show on his account. If he uses his account on another console he would no longer be able to use the 12 month subscription.
