Help with Xbox App and Install issue

Hello,

My downloads dont make any progress, and i have this screen at all times with checking for updates and the downloads saying they are downloading but nothing will happen after hours of waiting. I tried to cancel the download or pause it and it will say it is trying to do that but then nothing will happen. Once i quit the app then i get back to this. I tried repairing and restarting my xbox app and gaming services multiple times to no avail.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this problem with the Xbox app.
First please check if your system and all the apps related to gaming are up to date.
You can check for windows updates via PC Settings > Update & Security > Windows update, click on get updates
And you can check for app updates opening the Microsoft store

If your machine is up to date, may I know if you performed all the possible solutions recommended in this related article?

Unfortunately none worked but i am getting this error code now... 0x800704c6

May I know if you tried using a different internet connection like connecting the PC to a mobile hotspot?

Meanwhile, please verify if all the Xbox services are running in your PC.
For this search Services using the Windows search functionality and look for the next services once you open the app:
IP Helper
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
Gaming Services

Then do this for each service: Right-click on it and select Properties. In Startup type make sure it’s set to Automatic.
If the service isn’t started, click Start Click Apply and OK to save changes, restart your PC and try again.

**If you're not able to do this with Gaming Services you can skip that part
