Help with the region change

So my Xbox account region was set to US when really I live in Canada and I recently bought an Xbox gift card and I redeemed it on the site. later, I found out my account was set to the US so I'm wondering since I have $30.30CAD in my account, will
it stay if I change my region to Canada since it is Canadian money or will it be gone because for some reason it's not showing an option to use the currency in my account when I try to purchase somethin, so im wondering if that's why.

Funds in your Microsoft Account

The funds in your Microsoft account will not move with you, so be sure to spend your money before you change your account location.

I thought if your region was set to the US though, you would get their marketplace and hence be able to spend the money, but if you can't then I'm not sure what happens then.

Ok, i see what your saying, then is there a way to change the region to spain but with language in english?

What region did you select when you created your account? If it was Canada then you need to contact phone support and have them begin an Unauthorized Access Investigation. If it was South Africa then the only way to get a Canadian
account is to create one. Just an fyi creating an account for a region you do not live in would be a violation of the XBL Terms of Service and would also limit the content/features you are able to access.

Yes your money will stay what could be that you cant buy something butt no problem just go back to us location download what u whant and then u can change ur location again to canada
