Help with surround audio on mic

how do I turn it off? I don't want music/sounds to be played through my headset when im trying to chat with my friends. Regular stereo headset

Does anyone have the Turtle Beach X12 with DSS?

Hi. I want to get the Turtle Beach X12 and DSS but I need some help with 2 questions first..

1. Do i need the HDMI Audio Adapter if I'm getting the DSS also? Or does the DSS take care of that?

2. Will X12 + DSS work on a Mac? I don't want to use the mic on my Mac, I just want to watch movies with Surround Sound.

Nevermind, I got it working! Great! Thanks for the info. I just had to turn HDMI audio to OFF and Optical Audio to stero uncompressed, for some reason I can't select surround. Anyway, thanks!

PS. The mic portion will not work because it cannot be paired with Xbox One.

Your headset won't work with Xbox. You have a PC headset.

The headset I found is a PC headset with a separate mic and line audio cable.

The mic and audio need to be together on one cable.
