Help with stuck screen in-gam

Sorry to hear that you are having issues.

I would try a full power cycle by shutting down the console and then unplug the console from the power wait for 5minutes and then turn it back on.

If that doesn't work I would try a factoryreset on the console first make sure you have your email and password associated with the the account handy.

There was an update for Apex just the other day. You should make sure the game is up to date. You may want to try clearing the MAC address too. To do that just go to your network settings, click advanced network settings, alternate MAC address,
select clear, then reset. Your console will restart at that point. If nothing gets resolved you may want to install the game again. Is it just that game that's giving you the issue ?

OK, just so that I'm clear, the game Apex uses a selection screen that uses a cursor like a PC screen. That's the default mode.

I personally am not a fan of those selections but they have become a standard practice even on console.

Are you sayi g that the game is playable and there are no other issues outside that of a cursor selection in game, even on console?

If so, then that is working as intended, as designed, for better or worse. Please let me know if this is the case.

My son has been playing Fortnite on his Xbox One S. During the game, he clicked on a different game (Apex Legends) and the game looked as though it was starting but then didnt and now shows a cursor as though he is in PC mode. Im totally clueless...

How does he get rid of it? I told him to reset / reboot by holding down the button on the front of the Xbox for 10 seconds; it didnt help

Hello, I've had this issue before and I found that the game only froze itself. You can click the Xbox button on your controller which will take you back to home, Once you've done that you can click on the menu button and it should come up with an option
to force quit the game.

That sounds very strange. Is the cursor the Apex Legends cursor? Or is it a mouse pointer?

And sorry for so many questions, but when you say holding the Xbox Power button for 10 seconds and it didn't help, did the console restart? If you hold down the power button the console should shut down, and then require you to push the button to start
it up again. Did it restart and then still have a problem loading the game? That will help us determine the next best troubleshooting steps for this issue. Let us know!
