help with sharing accounts

Hi, a friend and I started to share account a while ago but he doesn't understand much about the process so he changed the account's home xbox 3 times... and now we have to sign up each other user to play the games that we buy together... is there a chance
to fix this up or do I have to wait until the next year... thanks

Doesn't let me play the games I own digitally

I really need help with my xbox it constantly tells me that I need to sign in with my account in order to play games, even though I am signed in with the account. I don't know if this has anything to do with me sharing my account. Please help

If you want that counter reset then you will have to contact support directly as they are the only ones that can do it. Keep in mind since there is a 3 change per year limit they are not obligated to do it but definitely worth a try.

it works. support chat was able to restart the times we changed the home xbox account and it takes like 5 minutes only. thanks for the help!

 

Glad they were able to get your issue fixed. I would explain how the home Xbox works to prevent this's again in the future. I know it can be confusing if you haven't had the set up before and like Genesis said they don't have to fix it because rules are
in place for this and it would suck to get locked out expeclly with all the great games coming out.

Sharing account information in order to get access to games you do not own is considered Marketplace theft, in fact sharing account information itself is already a violation.
