Help with redeemed code & xbox gold

Hi there,

My boyfriends little brother redeemed his £40 gift voucher today. We're having trouble though, it says he has the money in his microsoft account (£41.46) (he doesn't know if he has a hotmail account, only Gmail, so I can't log into it on here and check anything
for him).

We're trying to purchase Xbox Live Gold for him and go onto:

Select payment option,

Microsoft Account: £41.46 [Use the money in your microsoft account. For more info, go to
http://commerce.microsoft.com]

Manage payment options.

So, I try to select Microsoft account, however, it's grey and I am unable to select it.

I go back to "confirm purchase" and it tells me,

"No Payment Option Found,

Can't find a valid payment option for your account

Select Add Payment Option to add a new one or to redeem a code."

The chances are his sister has made him a microsoft account and we just don't know about it.

Xbox Live Gold code redeemed but now not recognised...help!

My son redeemed his Xbox Live Gold membership earlier today. Since turning the xbox one off & then back on it keeps telling him that he needs Xbox Live Gold & when we re-enter the code is says it's already been redeemed. Please help as we spent $80 for
something that has only worked for a couple of hours!!

 

Xbox one gold code redeemed but now no recognised by my xbox one

I am in Australia & redeemed a 12 month xbox one live gold code on 22/11/13 & it worked ok. I then switched the console off & when I switched it back on it kept telling me I needed xbox live! I tried to scan the code again but it says code has already
been redeemed. For the last 7 days I've been using a free 7 day trial which came with one of my games but this has run out today & I'm back to the original problem. Please help!

 

Currency redeemed onto the account can't be used to purchase Gold. There are separate pre-paid cards for Gold subscriptions.

 

Currency in the Microsoft Account can be used for purchasing games and content (add-ons for games, TV series, films and so on), but cannot be used for purchasing a Gold subscription.

To pay for Gold you need to either use PayPal or a credit card (for doing online) or purchase one of the pre-paid 3- or 12-month subscription cards, and then redeem the code you get with these.

 

Thanks guys, his mum is absolutely gutted about it but at least we know the problem now!

 

yea, I had the same problem... total BS, but that's how the cookie crumbles(I guess)!!
