HELP with playing Xbox Live - not enough memory on system to play!

My son never has enough memory to play his Xbox games. Every time there is an update, he doesn't have enough room to update the games and then he can't play them anymore. He deletes as much as he can off the system keeping only what he loves most (Minecraft),
but still can't free up enough room. I know Minecraft shouldn't take up the entire 4gb system, but I just want to get more gb's if that's what it will take. Can I get an external hard drive for his Xbox 360 Slim Model 1439? Is it worth it? How many gb's should
I get?

Not enough memory? Need help

It's actually 160MB of available space, I wish it was 160GB!. Nothing being used for demos. Looking at it, I only have about 300MB total storage space on my XBOX (it's an older one that my friend gave to me a couple years ago). FIFA Soccer was no problem.
I figured deleting any progress there would make it ok but theres just no room. 32GB is way more than I would need. Looks like NBA2K is about 0.5GB. I think I'll just go with the cheapest add on

unfortunately I had already deleted everything (suggestion 2), I was hoping I didn't have to buy extra space considering there is nothing currently on my XBOX but at least I know what to do now. Thanks WPAK

 

You good get a hard drive. A 320GB would set you back about a hundred euros - don't know where you're from.

Alternatively you can use a USB Flash drive like the ones here:

I think the 8GB one would be about $15 depending on the retailer. You can also get a 16GB one depending on your needs.
