    hello, im hoping someone here can help.

    im having an issue with a moderate nat on my Xbox one which is wired. Im using Verizon Fios and an Actiontec Mi424WR Rev E with the newest firmware. So ive never had an issue with connecting to friends in the past but this past christmas i bought my daughter her
    own Xbox One also and she connects it wirelessly to my network. Just over the past week my friends are telling me that they can't join my party like it's greyed out or something but they can join it if they join through another party member and there is a
    friend who when he joins my parties i see an "x" where his mic icon should be, funny thing is as sonn as another friend joins in his mic clears up and i can hear him, this forced me to check my NAT and found it was moderate, and all my friends have open.

    So i tried fixing this myself and here is what i did. I manually set up a static IP for my Xbox One which is connected via ethernet and then proceeded to set up static ip's for every device in my home even my cell phones. Then i opened all the ports listed
    on Xbox.com for my xbox one. It worked great for a while but here is what i noticed, every time my stepdaghter is using her Xbox One (wireless), the NAT on my XBox One (ethernet) returns to moderate and thats when i get those party connection issues. I also
    think my upnp is on, its hidden in my router settings but ive found the link where i can check it and it's enabled as far as i can tell. I dont mind if her NAT is moderate on her Xbox because she doesnt really party chat or play online, but i do need an open
    nat on mine.

    My Xbox One: wired, static ip, ports forwarded, UPNP on, newest firmware. NAT fluctuates between OPEN and Moderate depending on if my Daughter is using her XB1.

    Verizon Fios g1100 router and 2 XBOXone consoles, OPEN NAT???

    thank you but been done that, even have the 2nd xbox in dmz mode. need a solution to have open nat on both at the same time

    I've been having issues with the NAT on my xbox one but when I get on my xbox 360 the NAT type is open? I tried about everything to get my NAT type open on xbox. Any help?

    Try turning UPnP off since you have port forwarded, or put your console in DMZ mode. If that doesn't fix it I'm afraid your router doesn't support multiple consoles.

    well I appreciate your reply, unfortunately I think my router from fios doesn't support multiple Xbox One's without having NAT problems because I just read this statement in this link

    is there a different equipment you would recommend that does support multiple consoles? I have Verizon Fios and I believe it's a router/modem combo, i may be wrong I am not very educated on this equipment.

    well I appreciate your reply, unfortunately I think my router from fios doesn't support multiple Xbox One's without having NAT problems because I just read this statement in this link

    It could be your NAT type. When you enter into the multiplayer mod of MW3 before you find a match, you should see at the bottom left hand of the screen where it says your NAT type rather its STRICT, MODERATE, OPEN. Some games rely more on an OPEN NAT when
    you play them. Others are ok with the MODERATE NAT TYPE. If your NAT type is STRICT or MODERATE, try changing it to OPEN. Depending on what type of router you have and service you have you may have to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to open up
    your ports for an OPEN NAT TYPE. If you wish to try it on your own the 18004MYXBOX customer support people can help you on that. I've had the same problem before with other games. I called and they helpped me out. So hope this helps!

    That's unfortunate that the retailer is giving you a hard time. I'd definitely check their return policy online if they have it available. What did your NAT say? Is it the same as your other Xbox, and is it open? If it's not Open then let us know, and we
    can try to get your NAT open.
