Help with offline/ online save profiles

Like many other Brits, today I picked up the Borderlands Handsome Collection but I'm experiencing a problem I haven't noticed anywhere else yet. Basically, I got Borderlands 2 before having access to xbox live, so all my character save files from BL2 and
Borderlands the Pre Sequel are saved on an offline profile, 'Scott', while I used a new online profile (ParadiseLost88) to then get all the DLC. So when it came to transferring my save files, my online profile has nothing to upload to the cloud save feature,
while my offline profile has the actually useful info, so I'm wanting to ask how can I get my character saves onto my online account so I can then play them on the new Borderlands Handsome Collection for the xbox one? All help is much appreciated.

I have an X Box 360 with an offline profile with which I conduct virtually all of my gaming .Just got an X Box One s ,Iwant to transfer those game saves between the Boxes

I have tried to save to Cloud from an Online profile but it will not alow me to transfer saves between profiles

Is it possible to take that profile online? If so how?

Can I transfer the saves between profiles somehow?

Can I drop all the saves to a Flash drive & transfer that way?

Adding my partners Xbox 360 Username to the Xbox One

It sounds like you created an offline profile on your 360 for your partner. Unless it's an online profile with a unique associated email address, you won't be able to transfer it across. Your profile transferred, but your partners isn't attached to it, it's separate and offline on the 360.

I'd look at trying to convert the offline profile on your 360 to an online one, associate an email with it, then load that up in the One.

This is the unfortunate part, and I wish there was away around it for you.

Offline profiles with a local name Scott, as you know will not be associated with a Microsoft, unless you do so to bring it online. But you have not done that, and the problem is with ganesaves, they are account assigned, for example (as you probably know)
I played campaign on this account, but when I switch my account to another, it won't be on it, but to the other only. There is only one thing I could suggest, but only because you mention you brought a new account online.

How about if you signed into the offline profile, and signed that user up yo xbox live, with a Microsoft Account you could set up for it a few minutes before doing that? It could convert it into a online profile, assign it a random generated gamer tag you
can change once for free, and you could continue where you left off with gamesaves.

It sounds like a lot of effort I know, and if I was your situation I would be unhappy too, but there really is nothing else I can suggest mainly because of the reason that gamesaves are for the accounts that save them, only.

Please let me know if my solution worked, if you go ahead with it, and I am sorry if it wasn't the answer you was looking for

In addition, DLC and content you buy on the same console while be assigned to the console, and the account that bought it, so if playing on another account, the console license will allow you to play with the new bought DLC on the offline profile to an online
one

 

Thank you for the advice man; I'm currently in the process of checking it out. I have a secondary e-mail I use for business that I used for making the 'scott' profile into an online version, and luckily it allowed me to upload a saved character to the cloud
feature. Now I'm currently waiting for the Handsome Collection to download (16gb) and hoping it will allow me to upload the save profile to the ParadiseLost88 profile my xbox one is set up with. I'll update with good news hopefully; thanks again.

 

Paradise Lost88, unfortunately you cannot transfer save files to other accounts. The save is tied to the gamertag that created it.

"Gamesaves are acount assigned" As you know, well I am hoping you know what is meant by that. It would specify that any gamesaves you make on an account, will be for that account" It was just a repeat of what I initially posted. If you read my first reply
it was stated, if they choose to not read that part is up to them. But instead you chose to repeat what was initially visable in my first response which as you know will not disappear so it will always be there to review. But I'm glad you wanted to confirm
what I already posted, I think it's good when more people get involved to help out, but additional information, not a repeat. Afterall I was clear in my first response. I did not feel that I would have to type it again.

 

Please don't go around telling people how they should be helping other people. Nobody needs that.

Dan, luckily I have managed to resolve the issue by using your suggestion to turn my offline 'scott' into a secondary online account, which is what I used to upload my character saves to the cross save cloud feature used for transferring characters from
the 360 to one. Only setback was being unable to then download the character save onto just any account; it had to be the same one I uploaded it with, to then receive it through.

Apologies for the lack of over all know how, though. I gather much of the awkwardness with moving saves between gamer tags or profiles is something to do with people wanting to boost their, correct me if I'm wrong, literally useless game points?
