    Help with Minecraft Bedrock/Java


    I have owned Minecraft Bedrock edition for several years now, and had just finished playing it earlier too, when the new update came out today where if you owned bedrock you would be compensated with Java edition for free, I opened my launcher where I was prompted to redeem Java edition, being told that the "Get" button would appear instead of "Buy", of course the Buy option shows up instead. I end up doing a few things to troubleshoot, such as making sure I had the right version or that I didn't get it from gamepass (which I didn't, and no I didn't have the trial either). So I ended up seeing if possibly installing another launcher or reinstalling the launchers/minecraft would help, However this didn't help, and now I'm being told to buy the bundle with both Java + Bedrock, and my main concern now is that it won't let me play Bedrock edition, and when I went to it on the store it told me to install a free trial instead of just being able to play it like I have been doing. I would greatly appreciate help, and I can also give more info/proof if needed.

    No, if you purchase Minecraft Bedrock on PS4 and link your Microsoft account with your PS4 account, it will not sync the purchase with the accounts. Minecraft Bedrock purchases are tied to the platform on which they are made. If you purchase Minecraft Bedrock on PC, you will only be able to play it on PC. If you purchase Minecraft Bedrock on PS4, you will only be able to play it on PS4.

    However, there is an exception to this rule. If you buy Minecraft Java Edition on PC, you will also be able to play Minecraft Bedrock on your mobile device. This is because Minecraft Java Edition and Minecraft Bedrock are compatible with the "Minecraft Live" feature.

    If you just want to play the Minecraft you paid for on your PC, you don't need to buy Minecraft Bedrock for PS4. You can download the free version of Minecraft: Java Edition from the Minecraft website.
