Help with migration process? (I know that it had to be done before a certain day in Setptember)

Unfortunately, even when I open my save files I can't see any of my old worlds. Is there any way this can be fixed?

We completely understand how you feel dealing this concern we have from your end, and we truly appreciate you for letting us know about this. Thing is that migration for Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts is indeed a complex process and it's not uncommon to encounter issues. Nothing to worry, we will work on this together and see what else we can do about it.



If you have completed the migration process successfully, then you should be able to access your Minecraft account using your Microsoft account credentials. Have you ever tried that?



Regarding your concern about the Minecraft launcher only giving you the option to purchase instead of re-download, I suggest that you try logging out of the launcher and then logging back in using your Microsoft account credentials. If that doesn't work, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Minecraft launcher.



As for your important worlds, they should have been transported with the migration process. However, if you are unable to access them, you can try the following steps:



1. Open the Minecraft launcher and click on "Options"

2. Click on "Resource Packs"

3. Click on "Open resource pack folder"

4. Go up one level to the ".minecraft" folder

5. Look for a folder named "saves"

6. Your worlds should be located in this folder

If you are still unable to access your worlds, you can try contacting Minecraft support for further assistance.

alerts you to the fact that certain content may not work/be available once the process is complete.

I can't. That process was done for me, automatically, on the migration date, because of a pre-existing account that I created some time in 2019 or 2020 maybe early 2021 at the latest. Long before I could have known that a migration was forthcoming.

When I try to migrate Account A, it tells me I can't because there's already an account associated with this Microsoft account, which is Account B, and I created Account B long before I could've known it would cause this problem in the future. I had no reason to believe there would even be a problem.
