help with microsoft storage setting

Hi there Bennobagging welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. The storage issue sometimes can be due to an app issue! So I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

I have almost the same question but it's a little different. I just bought the Game Pass and wanted to download some games to my E driver (External Hard Drive). When I click on download on some games It only shows my other drivers where I have no space. On some games it shows the E driver but what I want to download for example Forza Horizon 5, it only shows the others.

see if this helps. go into settings > system > storage and then clear local 360 storage

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues installing Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on your new drive. Check if your game storage path is configured to the right drive.

Press Start > type Storage Settings and open the Storage Settings > Click Advanced storage settings > Where new content is saved > Change the storage of the "New apps will save to:"
