    Help With Game Crash?


    Hello everyone!

    I've have Minecraft Windows 10 edition since around the middle of summer and it's been working fine until just recently. Last I played was a few weeks ago and all was working well except that there was no music: Sound was working fine, but music wasn't.
    I didn't think too much of it, and saved and logged off as usual, and just a few days ago I tried to start up the game, but I couldn't get past the Mojang screen. I gave up after a few attempts and decided to try again later, thinking that maybe my computer
    needed to update or something.

    I tried again today and got a little further to the start screen, but it had a message at the top saying "Global Resources have caused the game to crash and have been reset to default settings". It didn't give me much time to read it before promptly crashing
    again. I haven't installed any resource packs or messed with any settings, it just happened out of the blue. I'm worried about losing the world I've been working on. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to go about fixing it? Thanks in advance!

    You are likely on the Preview Program, which is essentially a beta-testing platform for future firmware updates. Bugs and weird system behavior are to be expected.

    You should have access to a private subforum for Preview Program members only. They can offer you more specialized help.

    If you want to remove yourself from the program, see this link:

    Removing yourself from the Preview Program will bring you back to the more stable, current, public firmware version. Please note that any digital purchases made while you were still enrolled in the Preview Program may not work once you are back on the current

    Help with a game that crashes

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    It may be that the local save for your game has become corrupted. If so, deleting the local save and re-syncing with the cloud might correct the problem.

    First, delete the local save:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide and then select My games & apps > See all > Games.

    2. Highlight the game title, and then press the Menu button on your controller.

    3. Select Manage game & add-ons > Saved data.

    4. Select Delete all to remove the local save of this game.

    5. Select Delete all again to confirm.

    After you delete the local save, restart your Xbox console:

    1. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Power Center.

    2. Select Restart console.

    3. Select Restart.

    After you restart your Xbox console, re-sync your saved games to the cloud. Your saved games are automatically stored in the cloud while you’re connected to Xbox Live.
