Help with free gamer tag change.

I would like to change my gamer tag on Xbox 360, I am aware of how to do it however I’ve read that the first time you change it you don’t have to pay. Is there anyway I can check if I have previously changed my gamer tag? (I can’t remember). When I was going
to change it I got a notice saying I’d be changed immediately. Help?

i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

The free gamertag change is only given if you were given a randomly generated tag when you created your account and are changing that tag for the first time. Since the tag you're posting from is not a randomly generated tag, you will have to pay if you want
to change your tag.

the free gamer tag change was only allowed when your gamer tag change was forced. People abused this by reporting gamer tags that people wanted to change so once a force change was made they then changed it again to what they wanted for free. Because
of that abuse of the system all game tag changes now cost even if a force change has happened.

You no longer get a "free" gamer tag change after a forced change. People had others reporting their gamer tag intentionally to get it changed then use the free change. In other word the one free change was being abused so it was removed.

You will not be able to change that gamer tag for free. It is a custom tag not a system generated tag. Did the agent that said you could change it for free send you here?

Could you please explain exactly what you mean by saying Windows Player Tag, do you mean you Xbox gamer tag?

For the Xbox gamer tag, you get a system generated on at first then you have the option to change it to whatever name you wants for free. The free gamer tag change can only be done once on your account, if you try to change it again you will have to pay.

There are some specific games that set you up with usernames that are different than the gamer tag you have and Minecraft is one of them. You can to contact Minecraft support so that they can help you change the username.
