Help with Ethernet cord?

So I have a Xbox 1 and a PS4 (which I play much more) and my Ethernet cable worked fine for both of them. I recently got back from a week long cruise and all of a sudden, my Ethernet cord doesn't work for my Xbox, but it works for my PS4. I need help cuz
the Xbox recognizes there's an Ethernet cord there, but it won't connect to my internet.

I was wondering if there's a trick or something to get it to work again, thx

Wifi wont work because screen says theres a ethernet cable connected when there isnt

i need help with the wifi on my xbox 360 slim 4gb. When i try to connect using a wireless connection a screen pops up saying a ethernet connection is in use and only the ethernet connection will be used, when i dont have an ethernet connection connected.
please help

hey guys can someone help me out please? ive system linked with my xbox one and my brothers to play together with no lag since we cant over the internet cause of bad lag. we have a normal blue ethernet cable that we used to play system link, well we played a couple of times and everything was fine but at a certain point mid game one of us always gets kicked out with a notification saying error about the connection and system link. i mean is there a ethernet cable like a certain one that wer supposed to used to play games or that doesnt matter? i mean maybe its just black ups 3 cause we havent tried any other game but if we need a certain ethernet cable please tell me. help anyone?

When you plug it in to the Xbox, does the green light next to the Ethernet port on the Xbox light up? If not then the Ethernet port may be dead. That's the only explanation I can think of. Even if your ports aren't forwarded, the Xbox will detect the cable
but would have an issue with the port or connecting to Xbox live and not the internet.

If you decide to get your Xbox sent for repairs here is the form to do it

The problem could be from your brother's Xbox. Try finding another ethernet cord see if that makes a different.

xbox port should be fine since my bro was online on this xbox at his place 2 days ago and it was working perfectly fine. I really doubt it broke. Also I have tried multiple ethernet cords already that all work on the laptop but xbox still cant read it.
I'm thinking my isp might be messing with things. Or somehow my modem/router is blocking it, though I know my router is properly port forwarded since that got checked so I cant think of any other issues with that. Everything worked perfectly fine 3 or 4 months
ago before my xbox crapped out, and as far as I know nothing at all has changed here except the xbox itself.

I guess I will have to call my ISP tomorrow and see if they can help fix it. I guess I could try direct connecting again to the modem. Its just so frustrating since I have never had this problem before ever, atleast before when i had connections issues
the ethernet cord would at least show up as connected. I might also go to my brothers current place ant test it there.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
