Help with downloading on console when xbox one is off

Hey Im just trying to learn how to turn off the xbox one yet still carry on download i mean i know how to turn off my xbox one but how do you keep on downloading in when xbox one is off please please someone help !!!

when downloading console continually turns off unless keep controller on. how can u keep xbox one downloading when you are not playing on it.

If you are downloading the digital version then it mostly depends on your download speed of your broadband (internet).

I can download the xbox one version in under an hour as I have fast download speeds.

Looking at your profile I assume you are downloading the 360 version which is a lot smaller than the xbox one.

You can set up your console to do background downloads in the console settings on the 360 so it will carry on downloading when your console is off.

That will put your console into a "standby" mode while the game downloads & then turn it off once the download is finished.

 

You have to go into the setting menu and change the power mode to "Instant On". this setting allows to automatically update, turn on in 2 seconds & you can wake up console with voice command.
