Help with connection!! LIVE works but can't play matchmaking games.

This is my second post about this problem. It's been two weeks since I've noticed this problem. Mister Quimby asked me to post some info in my last post so here it is.

What Country/State/Province do you live in? - USA / Ohio

Modem brand & model number: - Motorola **** NVG589

Router brand & model number: - Don't have one

How many consoles do you have connected to this router? - none

Wired or wireless (for each console): - Wireless

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter? - internal (Xbox 360S) adapter

Things you have tried: - Reset Modem, Reset Factory Default, Ports 53,80,88,3074 are open.

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown - Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? - no NAT error

Any Error Codes you encounter: no error codes

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? - At&t U-verse

your NAT type may show open, but i would recommend going in and opening the ports on the router anyways. what type of router do you have? visit www.portforward.com to find your router and step by step instructions. (be aware there is an ad that usually comes
up after you click through a page or two, just click in the top right. should be a link that says continue)

Hey.Try and resetting your modem/router....That normaly works.You need to push the little button in the back on the modem for 30sec till it shuts off and starts up.Then fire up the 360 and see if it helped.If not check your network seetings etc..Come back
let us know..

I don't really understand why you created a new thread.

Anyways, I've read through your old thread and did a little research. At the time you posted your old thread there was no Service Alert active about joining other members in online games in general, but at this moment there is.

You can check the latest Xbox Live Service Status
here.

The Xbox Teams and their partner are working hard on resolving the issue.

I posted a new thread because I answered the old thread and no one was replying back. Yes there was an alert the last time or I wouldn't have been posting about not being able to matchmake. Obviously no one can explain why I can't matchmake which means I'm
paying for crappy service.

people help me i can connect to Xbox live but i cant play matchmaking in any game but cod 4 only cage match i cant even play Indi games i have checked my connection and everything is working when i try to play matchmaking it says disconnected then i get
signed back in 10 seconds later whats going on?

Hi M4LW4R3, Although there is no way to choose what Country's / Regions you would like to matchmake with, most games allow you to specify players with good connections. Try going into the matchmaking settings for the game you are trying to play and see if
you can set it to prioritize players with good connections. This may not work if there is not many playing the game at that time as it will still matchmake you with someone with a bad connection over no-one at all but should help your experience for popular
games

I can't get mine to play… servers don't load. push play and it just stays on the connecting to matchmaking screen. Anyone else having this problem? i ran a connection test and it says I'm connected to xbox live no problems.

having the same issue, what is up with this BS, this blows, just came home from a 12 hour shift wanted to play some Halo Matchmaking and can't cause i can't connect to xbox live, and it is not my own internet connection, when my laptop and phone are hooked
up to my network and are working flawlessly. what gives?

Well it's really just connecting to any online games! My LIVE is working fine, and my internet is always 3 or 4 bars. I have tried multiple games and none will connect to matches. When I test my connection is tells me matchmaking is up, but I still can't
