Help with child account?

Hi

My son has his own account which I set up using my email address. Now I want this to be a child account so I can control what he buys and set time limits. Is this possible, or would I have to set up a completely new account for him and he would have to
start all over again with games/friends etc??

Hi, i set up a childs account for a friend so they could play on their xbox with me online together. What we didnt know at the time was that a childs account is linked to my xbox live membership, and we want this account to be their separate account. We
dont want a family, we want that account to be alone. It says if you remove them, they will no longer have xbox live service unless added to another family. If we remove them from the family, and they use a gold membership code, will they have their own normal
account?

You will need to setup a new email account for the child

change the email address on his account to the new account

Setup your xbox live account with your email address

pull in his account under your xbox live account as a child account in under your master family account
