HELP! . Type of punishments on Xbox

Hey there, good afternoon to all. I would like to ask a question since I am relatively new on this place (Xbox Live) about type of punishments. The customer service couldn't give me an appropiate answer since it's not their competence (I fully understand
this part) and due to my account haven't been enforced I cannot contact to the enforcement department neither, so I thought posting here and get some information and experience from veterans players, ambassadors or Enforcement United team on this platform
would be a good idea.

I know that on Xbox exists two types of punishments: communications bans and profile bans. That means that not every sanction implies a profile ban (temporarily or permanent).

I would like to know the type of punishment on Xbox Live after sending a bad message , a message that could violate the Xbox Code of Conduct. I won't be doing it again for sure, it is only one message. I think after investigating that would be a communication
ban, having this following scheme on my head:

- Hacking, modding, stealing content from Marketplace or accounts (not limited to these actions) : profile ban.

- Bad behaviour on messages sent to other players: communication ban.

But I also want to confirm this information with people that know it for sure (veterans, ambassadors or Enforcement United) . Also, my profile never suffered some kind of penalty before, I think this information is also remarkable.

My second question is that if you can be punished with a permaban in communications or that only happens on the profile.

Maybe MS is testing a new type of permanent punishment of forever mute for comms violation?

It would basically depend on what the enforcement team determines and how severe the message is and what part of the code of conduct it violates. Basically you're right about if it's a message concerning marketplace theft, etc. it would be an account ban.
A message with bad language is mainly going to be a communication suspension.

You can receive a permanent communication bad. Account/communication suspensions generally start at 24 hours to 2 weeks depending on how many suspenions you receive. Multiple suspensions will then turn into a permanent ban.
