Help trying to set up voice changer to use on xbox live gaming etc

So my son has ben wanting to change his voice when gaming for a months, so i done a little bit reading and bought what i thought was required to do this, so i will list what i have done but cant seem to get it working on xbox one, so can really really do
with some help on this sure theres seems to be loads of people doing it.

so he has his desktop pc next to his xbox one with a condenser microphone on his desk its a usb, so with that plugged in to the pc it works and have av voice changer software on there just to test it all out and when he talks in to the mic a different voice
comes out his 2.1 speakers so works fine!!

now i bought a 3.5mm jack adapter that splits in to 2x3.5 sockets, this is plugged in to bottom of xbox one controller

then a 3.5mm to 3,5mm stereo lead from one of the twin sockets on controller and that goes to mic port on soundcard back of PC

then in the other socket on controller plugged in his turtle beach headphones, and it just doesint work, xbox says no mic and he can hear gameplay but no voice or changer or anything when its all plugged together like this.

Trying to set up One S

My kids are trying to set up our Xbox One S to play fortnight and it's telling them to change a setting before it will let them play. They set it up with the same Hotmail account that we use for another Xbox One S. Is that the problem? We got this second
one so they can play together on Live. Help!

 

Cisco ISB7500 from ATT UVerse

Just upgraded to this set-top DVR. Previous box (Motorola I believe) allowed us to use voice commands to change channels, pause, etc. Now with this new box, voice commands still gives the on screen notification "Watch CBS", but no input, doesn't change
the channel. Any suggestions? I wonder if this is a new box not (yet?) supported by xbox?
