Help!!! - Takes forever just to get to green screen

Please help, had my xbox one for 2 months now, last night I realised it wasn't coming on. I pushed the power button, the console light comes on, but then nothing. My Samsung tv says no source connected. Naturally I assumed it was the hdmi cable so I tried
another one....but same thing

Eventually I gave up and just left it powered on. About 15 minutes later I realised that the tv was now seeing the xbox but was static on the green screen. I assumed that meant a really really slow boot up. It's now be in 14 hours and still on green screen.

Summary: on power up it takes 10 to 20 minutes for the xbox to send a signal to the TV (incidentally, the controller will not connect during this time). Then it connects and green screen is shown with three scrolling dots below xbox signia, controller
connects now but that's as far as it goes.

I have tried rebooting several times. I have tried holding down eject and power to boot into low res. And I tried the possible fix for green screen of death. Nothing has worked. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Are there problems today? My xbox takes forever to get to the green screen then crashes with a 202 error which is not listed. Only options are reset, restart or update from a usb? has it finally crashed

Can you please try this for me.

1) Remove the power lead from the xbox one. (from the back of the xbox one and from the wall)

2) Leave it of for 5 mintues at least.

3) After 5 mintues plug it back in.

See if that sorts out your problem.

Thank your for your response, I did what you asked, left it for 15 minutes just to be sure.

Unfortunately no change, still takes 10 minutes for the tv to realise the xbox is there and then permanent green screen

 

I have this same problem, and have tried the offline diagnostic tools, but they just dont work. I'm now being told I have to pay almost £100 for repair. I think that is scandalous for a £430 console that's just 14months old.

Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool doesn't work for you, then your console will definitely need to be repaired. If your console is out of warranty, you will need to pay an out of warranty fee for that. This thread is a little old. If you need assistance
