    Hi. I've read a lot of posts about installation stop problems and fixes and tried just about everything.

    Here's the issue...

    I used to play fortnite a lot, but uninstalled it. I'm wanting to install it again, so I can play with a neighbours kid.

    It starts to install, but then stops. Then I see in my Games & Apps, it seems to be still there...but won't let me play or uninstall.

    Crazy.

    Tried everything I can think of and have found on forums. Help!!?

    Tried:

    - clearing local games

    - recycled power

    - updated the console

    - got enough space

    - reset the console (and kept my games and apps, as I've lots of games I don't want to lose)

    I'm at a loss.

    Has anyone had this before and knows how to help?

    Fortnite doesn’t start

    Hey there, SkintTugboat502

    This sounds like the download files for Fortnite have become corrupt. Please go to: My Games and Apps > Select Fortnite > Uninstall

    Then go to Ready to Install and install Fortnite again.

    This should, once downloaded, work for you.

    Hello Allwoj, my name is zahir, a independent advisor,

    Have you undated the console firmware?
    Make sure the game is up to date. A quich reboot can solve the issue.

    Also if you a re using any extenal drive, try to move the game to the internal storage.

    Hello again, have you already tried uninstalling the drive from the sound card and installing again because it's really weird it's not recording your voice.

    Thanks for the update on the issue with Fortnite. Sounds like an issue may have occurred when Fortnite updated. I recommend trying to re-install Fortnite. Try this article:

    Before you can reinstall a game, you must first uninstall it from the console's hard drive. To uninstall a game:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select
      My games & apps       and then Games.
    2. Highlight the game you want to uninstall, press the Menu button, and then select
      Uninstall. You can then reinstall the game by inserting the disc or downloading it again from the Microsoft Store. To download the game again, go to
      My games & apps > Games and then select the game title from
      Ready to install.

    Give this a try and let us know results.
